Hi guys, looking for someone who knows what they are doing to come and have a look at my car.  The brake lights won't turn off they are always bright.  Lights on lights off car on car off brake engaged brake disengaged alllllways oonnnn T_T now me and my mate had a fiddle with wires and fuses couldn't fix it we read on a few forums that it can be the lil pusher thingy under the brake pedal its self but we have no idea how to pull it apart or see if it needs fixing since we never even know it was there was just a push down brake lights work kinda thing never thought to see why before now.  So yeah i'll pay somone who can take the time to come out and fix it up for me or there'll be beer or something you'll like.  I am on the north side Arana Hills/ Ferny Grove area so if your close and wouldn't mind helping me out i'd REALLY appreciate it.

Cheers guys and or gals.

HI, Just a question.

Is it a commodore by chance?

I just moved away from that area otherwise I might have been able to have a look. Sorry.
But it sounds like your switch is fkd therefore constantly on.
Brake lights will work with the car on or off. I'd say your switch it fkd. Or your brake pedal adjustment has moved allowing the pedal to press the switch so it is constantly on.

Solution. - Try removing the wires going into the switch for the lights where the brake pedal is. If they turn off then take out the switch and test its resistance. It should be infinite. If not then replace the switch.
