haha you could say that... i currentl have both front door cards, lower section of dash (lh & rh), centre console, back seat pad, back seat backrest (LH), carpet lifted in the rear, boot install, head unit, glove box ALL out of the car.... i have 8 runs of speaker wire which is currently un-terminated but labelled up, there are 7 sets of RCA's in the car.... 4 of which are coming out.
The neons have been screwed down but not wired up, the cables for the 4 channel are in and wired up, the sub amp is mounted now just needs wiring.
I then need to cut all the cables back to length and remove excess. Then i have to put all the sh*t back in!!!! What a bloody nightmare thats gonna be.
Anyway the stain is still all sticky and i've been leaning all over it doing the amps so i look like i have fake tan all over my arms. Big thanks to Tim (not that he reads this) for the stainless spacers... really sets it off in the boot now.
THEN i have to actually tune it all!!! Thats gonna take hours of playing around with tweeters on massive fly leads to get the best position so it images well without an Time Alignment and then making up pods for wherever they need to be.
Not to mention the 20 odd hours of burn in time required for the speakers to reach their sweet spot.

Oh and yes i plan to have it out at the next wednesday/thursday cruise.

Ok so there have been some recent upgrades.
With the purchase of the Dynaudio splits, the Amplifier is screaming at me for mercy. Reason being, it is now having to work considerably harder than it ever did. Hence plans to upgrade.
In addition to the splits, I have changed to an Eclipse 7200mkII head unit.
Anyway the plan for the new amp is a Tru Technology S44 series of amp, however I won't be spending any money until such time as i know what size my tax return is. If it is significant enough, i may also lose the JL Monoblock and look at a Tru Technology Billet Series B6. A six channel amp which has ample power to run the system This thing is worth $4k and there is only 2 in the country!!! But thats a bit of a pipe dream!
I will most likely upgrade to a Tru S44 bridged into the Dyns to really get them singing!
